 Can men be a part of 1000 Women for Mentoring?

1000 Women for Mentoring has a membership category of Friends. By joining as a Friend of 1000 Women for Mentoring, the men of mentoring are providing much needed support to our initiative.

 

 How can I find other members in my area that are involved in mentoring?

Our membership directory lists our member’s names, organizations, city and state. Please click here to access the directory. Reach out to them by posting on our 1000 Women for Mentoring Facebook page, using Twitter, or adding local events to our calendar

 

 Do you have to be involved in social media to join 1000 Women for Mentoring?

Being involved in social media is not a requirement, but is highly encouraged. For up-to-the-minute updates and the latest news in mentoring, please visit our newsroom and connect pages to read more and join our social media pages. 

 

 How are MENTOR and 1000 Women for Mentoring affiliated?

MENTOR is the nation's lead champion for youth mentoring in the United States. 1000 Women for Mentoring is an initiative of MENTOR, conceived as an advocacy network, and focused on educating and inspiring mentoring’s leading women, friends of mentoring and corporations to invest their time and resources to promote quality youth mentoring. 

 

 I want to volunteer in my area as a mentor. How do I find the right place?

 How do I start a mentoring program?

MENTOR is affiliated with Mentoring Partnerships in many states and cities nationwide. For a complete list of our Mentoring Partnerships, please click here. Don’t see your state? MENTOR is currently working to build Mentoring Partnerships across the country; some are even in the process of being created now. Please contact us if you have any questions.
